Enjoy delicious Asian Pears picked directly from trees in your own backyard! Lee Orchard Garden offers for purchase three Asian Pear tree varieties, grown right here at our farm. Each tree variety produces fruit with its own special flavor profile.

Each tree is $145. You’ll pay a $20 deposit per tree below to reserve it for pickup which we anticipate will be in mid-November (we will contact you by email or phone).

Price / Pick Up

Each Asian Pear tree is $145.

On this page, you’ll pay a deposit of $20 per tree to reserve your trees.

The remainder of $125 per tree is due when you pick up your trees at the Lee Orchard Garden farm.

Trees will be available for pick up by mid-November. We will email or call to verify your pick up date.

For best cross-pollination results, we recommend purchasing several trees of different varieties (most Asian Pear trees are not self-fertile).

Local pick up only. No deposit refund if tree order is not picked up.

About Your Trees

Each tree is grown and cared for by the experienced team at the Lee Orchard Garden farm. Our trees are assured to be healthy and without disease at the time of sale.

At the time of pick up, your trees will be about 1.5 years old and between 5’5” and 6’ tall.

You can expect your trees to double in size in the following year (assuming no pruning).

Each tree can be expected to bear fruit within one to two years following purchase and thereafter.

These are not dwarf varieties so you can expect tall trees (you can maintain them at 12-15 ft. tall with regular pruning).

Varieties / Flavor

We offer three Asian Pear tree varieties, each of which produces fruit with its own special flavor profile:

Apple Pear: This Asian pear is our sweetest variety with a crisp white flesh. It has slightly less juice than the Hosui variety.

Hosui: This Asian pear has a mild sweet flavor with just a touch of acidity. The name "Hosui" is Japanese and means "much water" which aptly describes its juiciness.

Hybrid: The flavor profile of this Asian pear is a mix of the Apple Pear and Hosui varieties. Hybrid has the sweetness of the Apple Pear and the juiciness of the Hosui. (This variety is not an actual combination of the Apple Pear and Hosui varieties.)
